The Wilderness Society is a registered Australian charity powered by hundreds of thousands of supporters from all walks of life.
For 50 years, we’ve stood at the forefront of Australia’s most historic environmental victories.
From the corridors of Canberra to the streets of your town, our people-powered movement is taking on transnational corporations, rogue operators, and the armies of lobbyists and politicians who defend them.
Sustainable threads
We prioritise sustainable materials like organic cotton, recycled polyester and post-consumer recycled paper. Why? To ensure our products are as kind to the planet as they are to wear or share.
Look good, feel good, do good.
When you choose to support the Wilderness Society Shop, you’re part of something bigger: you join a community of thousands of people across Australia who care about nature.
Our story
Nearly 50 years ago, 16 people gathered in Bob Brown's home beginning the campaign to protect the Franklin River from being dammed. Only a few years later, nearly 6,000 people registered to blockade construction of the Franklin dam, and the nation watched on tv. The Franklin was protected.
