The book celebrates the places Wilderness Society has campaigned to protect for over 40 years, including Kakadu, the Daintree rainforest, the Kimberley—and of course, the mighty Franklin river.

The special edition includes a DVD with two films: 

Franklin Blockade Election Film, 1983.
Directed and edited by Roger Scholes. Many copies of this film were made and shown to audiences around Australia in the run-up to the federal election in March 1983.

Gordon Splits, 1982.
In this film  wilderness photographer Peter Dombrovskis makes his first visit to the Gordon Splits. Director, camera and editor, Michael Cordell. Second camera Chris Noone, Photographer Peter Dombrovskis.
